CUNY TechWorks: UX Design Program (Info Session) @ Citytech
Now Recruiting for Fall 2019 Cohort!!
Kingsborough Community College if offering a tuition-FREE User Experience training program. Our program is a part-time 21-week evening or day program offered at our main campus KCC and Citytech.
What you’ll learn:
In our 21-week part-time program, you will learn from current industry experts via hands-on projects which will focus on important design thinking process such as:
- Intro user experience design & wireframing
- Human center design
- Visual design
- Project management
- Work on a real client project
- Capstone portfolio development
As students complete the program they will get an array of support services such as career development, soft skills prep, portfolio review, and job placement assistance.
Who should attend
We welcome those with an interest and passion for design and technology! Career changers, designers, coders, anyone looking to jump-start their career. Bring all your questions!
- Be 18 or older
- Have at least a High School diploma or GED
- Able to work in the U.S.
- NYC Resident
- Comfortable using and learning technology

How many UX training sessions will you be having?
KBCC/ CUNY Techworks program will be having 3 sessions per year one during Spring, one in the Summer, and one in the Fall until 2020.
What is the days and time for the classes?
The program offers two times during the spring semester.
The evening program will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday to Friday.
The mid-day program will be held from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM Monday to Friday
Can I apply online for this program?
No, you need to attend our information session and at the end, you’ll receive an application for the program.
How much does the training program cost?
it’s a FREE program.

Take the F Line to the Ave. X Station, then transfer to the eastbound B1 to KCC
N Line (Sea Beach):
Take the N Line to the Bay Parkway / 86th St. Station, then transfer to the eastbound B1 to KCC
Q or B lines:
Take the Q or B Line to the Brighton Beach Station, then transfer to the eastbound B1 to KCC or take the Q or B Line to the Sheepshead Bay Station, then transfer to the B49 to KCC.
D Line (West End):
Take the D Line to the 25th Ave. Station, then transfer to the eastbound B1 to KCC
2, 3, 4 or 5 Lines:
Take the 2, 3, 4 or 5 to the Franklin Ave. Station/Eastern Pkwy, then transfer to the S Line to the Prospect Park Station, then transfer to the Q or B Lines; take the Q or B Line to the Brighton Beach Station, then transfer to the eastbound B1 to KCC
By Bus Direct to the College: Take B1 or B49 to the last stop, Oriental Blvd. and Mackenzie St., then walk east on Oriental Blvd., which leads directly to the entrance of KCC
By car: Parking is available on campus, please show security Eventbrite ticket on your phone or printed if needed.
