Rockaway Development & Revitalization Corporation

Rockaway Development and Revitalization Corporation (RDRC), established in 1978 and in its 40th anniversary, is a not for profit corporation

whose mission is to facilitate economic development and commercial revitalization activities throughout the Rockaways. RDRC actively pursues human capital development connecting youth with workforce expansion. Located in Queens and in the heart of Downtown Far Rockaway, 55% of the total Rockaway population resides near RDRC. RDRC is the Manager of the Beach 20th Street Pedestrian Plaza, Organizer of the 40 member Rockaway East Merchants Association (REMA), and conducted a commercial district assessment of Far Rockaway.
